Clay Oak Cottage in Waco, Texas — the home that started it all.
My husband is a proud Baylor alumnus, and Waco has always held a special memories going to Baylor games. We love seeing old homes in Waco being restored and we fell in love with an older home full of character and immediately saw its potential. During the renovation, we uncovered beautiful shiplap ceilings and original pinewood floors hidden in the bedrooms. Restoring those details while bringing our own vision to the home made the transformation especially meaningful. The name Clay Oak Cottage was inspired by the massive old oak tree in the front yard.
After seeing Clay Oak Cottage come to life, we knew we wanted to do it again.
Our daughter attending Oklahoma State University brought our family to Stillwater, Oklahoma, and fell in love with this small and friendly college town . For our second property, we wanted something different — a newer home with plenty of room to gather. When we found Grandview Farmhouse, we immediately saw how perfectly it fit our vision for Oak & Field Retreats.
Both homes are places our own family enjoys, too.
Our mission is simple: to create warm, relaxed, and inviting homes filled with thoughtful details that make your stay feel special. We hope each home feels like a place you can settle in, make memories, and look forward to visiting again.

Great spot and very well appointed
Rebecca’s place is absolutely beautiful and perfectly done. The home is very comfortable throughout and we enjoyed having such a relaxing place to come home to after moving our daughters in at OSU. The location is perfect - close to everything, but far enough away to feel secluded and private. We’ll definitely be looking to book next time we’re back in town.
