Places I Keep Coming Back to in Stillwater, Oklahoma
A few of my favorite places to eat, shop, grab coffee, and spend time outdoors in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
One of my favorite things about spending time in Stillwater is finding those places I want to visit again every time I’m in town. Whether I’m grabbing coffee, meeting someone for brunch, shopping for a bit, or just enjoying a pretty day outside, these are some of the spots I keep coming back to.
If you’re visiting Stillwater for an OSU weekend, visiting your student, or just spending a few days in town, save a few of these for your trip.
☕ Balanced Coffee Co. or Aspen Coffee (Near farmhouse on Lakeview)
A favorite stop when I want a really good cup of coffee. It has a relaxed atmosphere and is an easy place to start the morning before heading out for the day.

🍳 Hatch Early Mood Food
Hatch is one of my go-to choices for breakfast or brunch. It’s fun, lively and has plenty of options when you want more than just a quick breakfast.

🍕 Empire Slice House
Sometimes you just want really good pizza, and Empire is in the perfect downtown location for an evening out. It's casual, fun, and has a great patio. I also love tht you can order by the slice, and they have great salads too.

🍷 The Monarch
The Monarch is a hidden gem that's perfect for date night. I love the intimate setting, and upscale new American food menu. Its a great choice when you're looking for a nicer dinner and cocktails in Stillwater.

A Little Shopping
Greige Goods + Wooden Nickel + J. Cole
If you have time for a little shopping, add Wooden Nickel and J. Cole to your list too. They’re fun places to browse and a nice break between eating and exploring.

Get Outside & Explore
The Botanic Garden at OSU
One of my favorite peaceful spots in Stillwater. It’s beautiful for a walk and especially nice when the weather is good.

Boomer Lake
Boomer Lake is another place I enjoy when I want to get outside. Take a walk, enjoy the water and slow down for a bit away from the busier parts of town.

Oklahoma State University Campus
And of course, spend some time walking around the OSU campus. Even when there isn’t a football game happening, there’s something special about being on campus and taking in Stillwater’s college-town atmosphere.
Make a Weekend of It
These are the kinds of places that make me enjoy Stillwater more every time I visit. There’s always somewhere familiar I want to return to—and usually somewhere new I end up discovering along the way.
If you’re planning an OSU weekend or a Stillwater getaway, Grandview Farmhouse is just a short drive from campus and gives you a comfortable place to come home to after a day of eating, shopping and exploring.
